He began to travel; seeking life\, adventure\, and education wherever he could find it. There is no drink minimum at High Note. \n\n\n\n\n—————————————- \n\n\n\nGETTING THERE: \n\n\n\n\nThe fastest way to get to Illusion Magic Lounge is to simply take the 10 towards Santa Monica\, take the 5th St/4th St. exit\, turn right on to 4th\, and park in Structure 5. \n\n\n\nParking Structure 5 is right next door to the venue and is free for the first hour and a half. As that’s roughly the length of our show\, you’ll likely be at the 2 hour mark which is only $2. If you get to Santa Monica early or stay later\, parking rates are very reasonable at $5 for 3hrs and $9 for 4hrs.\n\n\n\nThe Metro E-Line stretches from East LA\, through DTLA\, and all the way to Santa Monica where it stops 2 blocks away from our show. Hurr! The premiere will be at the Illusion Magic Lounge in Santa Monica on  August 9th at 7:00 PM. \n\n\n\nOriginally\, this play had a single showing in our high school’s black-box theater. Still completely student run\, and back by popular demand\, what began as a high school passion project now finds its way onto a professional stage.  \n\n\n\nThank you to everyone who’s had a hand in making this play possible. The play itself would never have been realized were it not for the creative empowerment of the Long Beach Poly Drama Program. There will be a donation box to support the program in the lobby.  \n\n\n\nSee you at the premiere of The Legend of Mt Hurr! \n\n\n\nWelcome to the cult! \n\n\n\nAfter coming to terms with the failures of their magic careers\, two brothers\, Charles and Pig\, in 1970s Appalachia\, aim to reverse their financial hardships. Ambitious Charles seizes an opportunity to make a quick buck in the business of religion. The brothers travel back to their hometown of Mt. Hurr\, Appalachia\, to spread the word of the newly discovered almighty “Houdini Monster.” They do well as magical missionaries. The Church of Houdini is established\, promises are made\, and all the townspeople flock to worship Houdini. There is no drink minimum at High Note. \n\n\n\n\n—————————————- \n\n\n\nGETTING THERE: \n\n\n\n\nThe fastest way to get to Illusion Magic Lounge is to simply take the 10 towards Santa Monica\, take the 5th St/4th St. exit\, turn right on to 4th\, and park in Structure 5. \n\n\n\nParking Structure 5 is right next door to the venue and is free for the first hour and a half. As that’s roughly the length of our show\, you’ll likely be at the 2 hour mark which is only $2. If you get to Santa Monica early or stay later\, parking rates are very reasonable at $5 for 3hrs and $9 for 4hrs.\n\n\n\nThe Metro E-Line stretches from East LA\, through DTLA\, and all the way to Santa Monica where it stops 2 blocks away from our show. Please contact the Event Producer for any questions related to this event.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets @ Eventbrite\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLighting Workshop for Dancers and Burlesque Performers. \n\n\n\nYou have an amazing act\, learn how to make it shine! \n\n\n\nIn this 90 minute class veteran performer and theatrical lighting designer Max Moxie will teach you how to use light to make your act dazzle in any setting. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re performing ambience at a house party or headlining on a proscenium stage\, learn how correct lighting makes your costume shine and every move explode off the stage! \n\n\n\nHere’s what you’ll get in this class: \n\n\n\n• How to craft professional lighting for your act \n\n\n\n• How to identify and utilize available lighting in any size venue \n\n\n\n• How to communicate lighting requests with venues ahead of time \n\n\n\n• How to adjust acts based on lighting \n\n\n\nClass will be taught in person at Illusion Magic Lounge. He is a staple in the LA scene\, designing lights and sound for a slew of major Burlesque\, magic\, cabaret\, and Theatre shows.
